The first of the week is a good one, it’s a triple juicy IPA from hop experts Everbrew. This one is in double figures for its strength and has Galaxy, Mosaic and Motueka hops. It’s classes as a juicy rather than New England or hazy so I’m hoping for it being fruitier and more refreshing.

It doesn’t look too hazy but it’s a bit cloudy with a pale amber colour and a thick, fine head which is bright white and only slowly settles. It smells very clean, refreshing and fruity with lots of citric and tropical fruit; there’s grapefruit, papaya, mango and peach. It’s very juicy with very little resinous or piney aroma and there’s a light clean and slightly sweet malty aroma. The booze is very well hidden and it doesn’t smell like it’s in double figures.

It does feel thick and chewy in the mouth with a very full body though but with light carbonation. It’s very juicy and fruity with lots of clean tropical and citrus flavours with papaya and peach being the most surprising. It does have a lot of bitterness from the hops but there’s also oatmeal and malty sweetness as well as some booze and heat. The warmth lingers as well as the fruity hops.

It’s a very refreshing high alcohol beer, which is almost like a fruit punch. It’s a beer you could almost glug down but it wouldn’t be wise to do so at 10%. As usual Everbrew have made another great variant on an IPA.
