Here’s another one from Pineal and it’s another sour, this time it’s an Eldorado and Cascade dry-hopped gose so in addition to the hops and sourness it’ll have a touch of salt. It has a nice bright white frothy head and it’s hazy with a pale yellow colour. The dry-hopping is really clear and there’s a fresh and fruity aroma of tropical fruit. It smells pretty tart and sour with lots of lemon and apple vinegar. There’s also a light brininess and overall it smells very clean and rounded.

It feels light and crisp in the mouth with light but spritzy carbonation. It’s pretty tart and acidic with lemon juice and sour rustic cider as well as tropical and citric fruit like mango, grapefruit and passionfruit from the dry-hopping. One thing which is surprising is the level of salt as it’s quite a bit higher than expected but it does work and leaves a sea water aftertaste and I guess this beer would go really well with oysters and other seafood. There’s very little alcohol feel or warming here and overall it’s very refreshing and easy to drink.

This gose has a lot going on and it’s a tasty and interesting beer and would go down really well on a hot day.
